MaiLin doesn't get very excited over many gifts but this year we got the most excitement I think I've ever seen. She is all about Club Penguin right now. It is a game on the internet. We gave her a six month membership to it. She was ecstatic.
Of course, the other hit for this year was GREEN MONEY!
And, AnnaLi gave her a puffle-a pet from Club Penguin. Don't ask, I have no idea.
MaiLin unfortunately came down with the swine flu the Tuesday before her b'day. Her b'day fell on a Sunday so we decided to celebrate it on Saturday as a family since Sunday would be crazy. The party had to be postponed a week so we just did a quiet b'day celebration at home. It was a good thing her party had to be postponed because it POURED down rain on that Sat and was cold. Also, it was good thing we went ahead with it on Sat because early Sunday a.m. AnnaLi woke up with high fever--yep, the flu. By 2:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon we were on an ambulance headed to the hospital due to a fever induced seizure. Would have put a big damper on a b'day celebration!
