October update on Adrian

Adrian is 1 Year 11 Months Old.
Adrian’s foster mom wrote this update:
Adrian is growing and becoming cuter each day. Our relationship continues to grow as well. He loves to laugh and make me laugh as well. He has learned to do what is asked, the first time, with the right hearted attitude. If I do need to discipline him, he is quick to try and make things right between us. He loves helping me do the housework and carrying small packages. Adrian is also very active and loves to jump and run. I look forward to caring for this precious boy each day.

Adrian FINALLY gets his package

Adrian's foster brother (Evan) loves his new ball and pajamas.

Ok, these pics are in reverse order. Start at the bottom and go up. The above pic is the one on the front of the album that Adrian is looking at.

Who in the world are these crazy looking people and why did they send me pics of them?

I like my new Jacket!!

I sent 4 disposable cameras so that Adrian's foster mother could take pics of them in their home. All of the ones I have are of him at Newd*Y.
I think Adrian looks like a typical two year old on Christmas morning--overwhelmed!!!

OK, big brother, let me help you out with this. This is your picture so it must be your package.

And, this of course is MINE!!

There were pics on the bags that I sent for the boys so that they could identify whose bag belonged to who.
After a very long time and MANY emails to Newd*y, Adrian's package finally arrived. I know that the director was probably getting sick of seeing emails from me. Because of the holiday celebrated in Chi*a, everything was delayed about a week. I was so excited to finally receive these pics. The best one is to see him looking at us. Do you recognize the pic on the front. It is a pic of us!

LID--Log in date

Today was our official date that our paperwork was logged in. Everything will now revolve around this date. Our clock starts ticking (so to speak). We are now waiting our Letter of Approval from China. We were told that it usually comes in about 90 days from LID. The average right now is running about 70 days. We are praying for sooner though.

Party Day

We were able to do MaiLin's party one week later. Boy was it worth the wait. The weather was gorgeous. It was a little windy but beautiful. We started out the party with a friendly game of kick ball. I think everyone had fun.

This looks like there is serious strategic planning going on.

MaiLin in action.

We had a club penguin party with club penguin trading cards on top of cupcakes. All of MaiLin's little friends do club penguin and certain cards are better than others so they were lined up to fight over the cards. I quickly put an end to that and started handing out the cupcakes.

It was so windy that we had to go almost in the garage to light a cupcake so MaiLin could blow out a candle. I think the wind beat her to it.

Healthy and enjoying her day!

Healthy and enjoying JieJie's day!

"Miss" Karen had the hit of the party with her string of green money--too cute.

And guess who broke the Pinata WIDE open. Look at all that candy flying.
A perfect end to a perfect party.
